Research to support Forest Therapy (Shinrin-yoku) can be found published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine (2013). Forest therapy promotes the calming effects of spending time in green spaces, or nature. Completed at Heriot-Watt University in the U.K., scientist determined that the brain enters a meditative state when going through a green space.
