What is Forest Therapy

Reconnect with nature

Forest Therapy is a practice that enables us to explore our relationship with nature through an immersion in the woods. It supports every aspect of our well-being.

A guided forest therapy walk is different from a nature hike; it engages the elements of nature in a way that heightens our senses to allow us to experience the forest in a new way.

These guided walks are a researched-based practice that connect us to nature—a place that can reduce stress levels, help us think more clearly and nurture creativity. It is rooted in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, which translates to ’forest bathing’. In Japan, this is an integral part of their preventive healthcare and healing philosophy and practice.

Thankfully, no bathing suit required! Only a guide (me), a natural space and an open mind to awaken our senses.

Let’s spend some time together under a forest canopy, where we can experience the rejuvenating benefits to the mind, body and spirit.
